Editmentor.com is a group of professional storytellers, mostly in Los Angeles, who are here to be virtual mentors to those who want to improve their editing and storytelling skills.
Here’s some info about us.
JEFF BARTSCH – Founder, Editmentor.com
Jeff is a multi-talented artist. He started playing piano at the age of 4, began dabbling in multi-track recording in junior high, and ended up the one-man band videographer all through high school. In college, Jeff studied music composition and worked in radio announcing before moving to Los Angeles in 1999 to study film. Ending up an assistant editor in Hollywood, he was promoted to full editor, and was soon editing primetime content seen by millions of viewers around the world.
Wanting to expand his editing borders, Jeff started producing short film projects as vehicles to promote his film editing skills. In the process, he started taking to the producing side of things, which is his current focus beyond providing value to the Editmentor community. These days Jeff is more likely to hire a talented editor instead of being one. Whatever the role , it’s still all about the same thing – speaking truth and telling the story.

In the meantime, these are a few of the groups for whom Jeff has edited.
